on the site as a whole and in individual windrows.
Site View
The main screen provides an overview of the overall activity at the composting site. In this case there is a snapshot of each of the 14 windrows currently being processed.
Data Table
This screen shows the history of activity of a single windrow since it was shredded. During the process CompostManager records the readings, analyses the data and then gives the appropriate instruction for that day.
Temperature
This graph shows not only the temperature of a windrow, but also the variation in temperature in a windrow on each day. To show that the windrow is reaching, or has reached, sanitisation there is a green line at 65°C.
Moisture
In order to achieve the optimum conditions for consistently premium compost, it is essential to record and analyse moisture levels in a windrow together with temperature and gas.
Gas
This is the most “dramatic” of the three graphs, with considerable fluctuations in Oxygen and Carbon Dioxide levels. Research for CompostManager has shown that when the balance is right, any odour issues previously experienced can be significantly reduced.
