Founded on research and development
CompostManager is a business founded on research and development.
The global composting industry continues to grow and evolve, facing multiple challenges, not least from the increased attention of regulators.
After seven years’ hard work, CompostManager has been created by a team which is headed up by eminent soil scientist George Longmuir and analytical chemist Dr Eric Crouch.
In addressing the issues faced by the industry, the team’s focus was on four key criteria:
- To keep the regulators happy
- To reduce production costs
- To increase product throughout
- To improve product quality
CompostManager will help composters do all of these things.
George Longmuir MSc
George has been involved in the composting industry since the early 1990's. A soil scientist by training, he has won numerous awards and been instrumental in many major industry developments in recent times, including his involvement in the formation of APEX which created the first green compost specification in the UK.
Dr Eric Crouch
Eric has worked on the development of CompostManager since its inception in 2006. He originally completed his degree in Chemistry and IT, before being awarded a PhD in sensor science for biomedical and environmental applications. Much of the research for CompostManager has been carried out by Eric himself, as well as the creation and validation of complex mathematical models.
